McD Sustainability Report 2024-EN e-book
21/42

The products we serve to customers are managed by our own quality and food safety management system based on international standards, such as the GFSI benchmarks, which are embedded from farm to process-ing plants, logistics, and food preparation at our restaurants. PACE, HACCP, and other sanitation manage-ment methods are adopted by our restaurants to manage product safety. We require our suppliers to comply with the Supplier Code of Conduct. This code of conduct contains fundamental principles for partnering with McDonald’s and stipulates relevant laws and regulations, human rights, work environment, environmental conservation, and business integrity. Details regarding the code of conduct are specified in the “Supply Chain Human Rights Program (SCHR),”* and suppliers are expected to implement and maintain this program. We hold a Supplier Summit every year to share our business and future growth plans with our suppliers within and out-side of Japan. Food safety and quality, sustainability, and other goals are shared, reviewed and implemented together to strengthen our partnership.21Traceability SystemCrisis Control Product Inspection Program, etc.FSSC22000/BRC/IFS/SQF etc.RestaurantLogistics/Warehouse●Supplier SummitFood Quality & SourcingFarm assessmentWater quality controlPesticide, fertilizer management, occupational safetyGMPSupplier Code of ConductProcessingConfirm the effectiveness of the system through an audit programGMP/HACCPRelevant laws, regula-tions and requirementsPACEGlobal G.A.P.Plus Add-onDQMPSQMSFarm* Changed from the previous program to SCHR in Jan-uary 2025.
